Laura Cronin Ford, Partner

Ms. Ford joined the firm in 2007 as a summer associate and continued to work for the firm during law school as a third year law clerk. She joined the firm as an associate attorney in September 2008 and became a partner in September 2014.

Ms. Ford’s practice focuses on all aspects of the settlement and trial of marital dissolutions, including child custody, spousal support, child and family support, date of separation disputes, and complex asset characterization and division issues, including a special emphasis on the analysis and division of stock options, restricted share rights, non-qualified profit-sharing plans, and other executive deferred compensation. She has successfully helped her clients achieve resolution of their disputes in the courtroom, and through private judging, mediation and direct settlement. Ms. Ford has extensive experience litigating highly contested custody cases, including cases involving child custody evaluations, domestic violence issues, substance abuse problems, and relocation requests.

Ms. Ford serves as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge for the San Francisco Superior Court and she is also a volunteer attorney for the San Francisco Bar Associations, Family Law Volunteer Legal Services Project. Ms. Ford is a member of the Family Law Section of the Bar Associations of San Francisco and Contra Costa County.

Ms. Ford is currently the Legislative Committee Co-Chair for Queen’s Bench, the Women’s Bar Association of the San Francisco Bay Area. She has written several articles for Queen’s Bench on pending and new legislation enacted in California and across the nation. From 2009-2011, Ms. Ford served on the Alumni Board’s Executive Team for Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton and she remains an active member on the Board.
