Liat Sadler, Senior Associate

Ms. Sadler’s practice includes all aspects of the trial and settlement of complex marital and domestic partnership dissolutions, complex asset division, business valuation, child and spousal support, and child custody. Ms. Sadler has litigated and negotiated cases involving characterization and division of equity compensation, business and art valuations, international child custody move-aways, child custody evaluations and domestic violence.

Ms. Sadler serves as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge for the San Francisco Superior Court. She previously served on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco as the Education Chair. Ms. Sadler has taught for the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco. She volunteers for the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Legal Advice and Referral Clinic. Ms. Sadler is a member of the Family Law Section of the Bar Associations in San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma counties. Ms. Sadler is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Congregation Sherith Israel in San Francisco. Ms. Sadler has been certified by the California State Bar as a specialist in family law. She graduated from the University of Michigan with honors and went on to pursue her Master’s degree at the London School of Economics. For several years, she managed a nonprofit organization in the Bay area and then decided to pursue a career in law. She worked as a paralegal at a law firm working on prisoners’ rights and then was honored with a full scholarship to attend law school at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. During law school, externed for a federal judge, a federal Special Master and the New Jersey State Attorney’s Office.
